Why Stress When The Tools Are Right In Front Of You?

The impact of Covid 19 has not only affected people psychologically but also financially. Some people have felt the impact on the pockets immediately and some people are yet to feel the impact. Personally, I was grateful that I was still earning my full salary during this pandemic. I believe in sharing is caring hence this platform. Other other than prayer and a positive mindset, these have been some of the people/platforms that somehow changed my financial behavior throughout this pandemic. I’m pretty sure you are aware of what I’m about to share but one can never emphasize enough the importance of financial literacy.

I’m a firm believer of spending your time wisely and making small changes in your day to day living which will pay off in the long term. An example could be instead of using your data to follow gossip platforms why not use that data on reading column or pages that will be have some positive impact on you. You are actually making people rich on reading “nonsense” when you could be enriching yourself on something more insightful.

So here is some of the platforms where women and I guess men too, well…basically everyone that earns and spends money can empower themselves on how to make better financial decisions in their day to day even month to month living. These ladies have been affiliated with the big financial and insurance firms in South Africa.  Their content is primarily based on the questions that you ask them on their Q & A on their social platforms and also, they’ve worked with each other on podcast and therefore it’s not like the one is better than the other but rather they cover almost the same topics in different ways.

She talks about budgeting, insurance, saving, banking basically everything that has to with finances in every household. She makes financial and insurance products that are available on the market easier for the average South African to understand and perhaps see value. The way I see it, she does most of the research for you and you just see what she has to say about the various financial questions or dilemmas that you may be faced with. 4.      Easy Equities

This platform I had discovered way before lockdown. This is basically an investment platform that allows you to buy equities at low and affordable pricing. The admin fees are very affordable compared to some financial institutions that you pay to invest on your behalf. This platform also allows you to invest in a Tax-free investment like the other financial institutions. You can buy equities either in Rands and/or Dollars. Because it has made investing equities so easy, I found it to be worth it because it has made the idea of buying equities attainable and not seem like a “Rich people’s thing”. Although I would advise that you do your research on the different equities available and that you need to be disciplined when investing so that you don’t get disappointed when your stocks/ equities do not perform as well as you would hoped in a year, therefore this is long term.

There are other bloggers such Stealthy Wealth sharing the journey of financial freedom. There's also platforms such as Satrix and eftSA for investing and trading, it's all about making that little effort to enrich yourself and making the best choices with your money.

Like really guys…putting in that little effort and making that little change will make all the difference. It’s making the most (enriching yourself) with the little that you have (data) and making it work and apply those little things constantly in your the everyday life.

The only standing between you and your dream(s) is execution/implementation of your plans/ideas/thoughts.

Hope this sticks 😉
