For a person working a 9 to 5, we all know that come February/March we need to submit our development goals. Depending on the organization you work for and your manager this could be either a tick box exercise or this could actually determine where you are headed in your career.  Career development goals was just another to do exercise for me with my previous employer because we were given 2 weeks to think about our goals and populate this on workday or worst case scenario, I had to submit those in 24 hours like WTF. But anyway, I managed to do that, and I guess I didn’t stay long in that organization. What does it really mean to build you career and have you actually thought about this? or as long as you progressing in your career, not sure where you going though but as long as you moving forward and the money is good then everything else is good right? Unconventional Ways To Keep Your Mental Health In Check...and Be Happy

Life happens…work happens…family happens. You just find yourself in a vicious cycle of doing things that need to be done to get to the next thing and how to avoid this in order to save here and there and so it goes. It’s life…some say it’s a trap, some say it’s a journey of self-discovery and exploring warra warra whichever you look at it, it all comes down to us being part of a cycle to accomplish something. So, I’m currently on a one-week annual leave because I need a break, because I need to recoup, re-look and refocus a bit. Whenever I take leave during the year, it’s normally to check myself or something in my life could be health, finances, or emotional check-in. Haven’t taken time out for a vacation in a while though but that will happen in winter, no worries. Having spoken to some ex-colleagues of mine, I hear fatigue is making the rounds again and we still on the first quarter of the year.
